In my current position, I am responsible for leading the annual review of approximately 25% of university degree programs and reporting these metrics to the Kansas Board of Regents. I have developed a template for our degree programs to use in this process.
I lead the university program review committee through a process designed to provide continuous quality improvement feedback to departments with regard to their programming. Our process is designed to align our program-level academic assessment efforts with student success metrics and required Board of Regents minima. A significant amount of historical program specific data is provided to departments in order to inform faculty discussions of program quality and improvement needs. Coordination with the university’s institutional research office staff is a critical component, as well, for the effective function of this aligned university system.
